Boink (Teardrop 2)
Description
The boink attack utilitizes a bug in IP-deframentation code
in TCP/IP-stack found in Microsoft Windows NT. The attack is based on
teardrop.
Affected Systems
- Microsoft Windows NT 3.51 Service Pack 5
- Microsoft Windows NT 4.0 Service Pack 3 + teardrop hotfix
Fix
Apply a hotfix provided by Microsoft. The hotfix can be found from
Microsoft's FTP server in following location:
